Make the Most of Every Moment
What are micro-moments, and why should you care about them?
Micro-moments are defined as "An intent-rich moment when a person turns to a device to act on a need – to know, go, do or buy." During these moments, customers pick up their mobile device or log onto their computer to make decisions that affect the future of your relationship with them. They might decide to learn more, to contact you, to make a purchase, etc.
These are the four micro-moments to know:
I-want-to-know moments: A customer is researching or exploring brands but isn't in a purchasing mood.
I-want-to-go moments: When someone is looking for a local business or looking to purchase something nearby.
I-want-to-do moments: When someone needs help completing a goal or trying out something new.
I-want-to-buy moments: When someone is ready to make a purchase but needs help knowing how or what to buy.
To make the most of these moments with your customers, you can optimize your website to plan for them. You can use Google Analytics to see where people are spending the most time on your website and use Google Search Console to find out which keywords are driving people to your site. Once you know what customers are looking at the most on your site, you can use third-party services, like this one called Answer the Public, to see what people are asking your business and industry. Once you know your customer's journey to your website, you can start designing your site to provide exactly what the customer needs in each of the micro-moments mentioned above.
